I'm about to work on my cars body damage what mask(s) do I need?

I hear about asbestos and lung cancer, And I dont want either. so what do I buy and where can I get them. What I plan to do is pretty much from the pages of car craft magazine, but they just mention ';respirator';. I want to know what type.
