Help me design a freaking mask?

alright, well. im in 9th grade and for my literature class we have to make a mask, this mask has to be carefully thought out and carefully done. our teacher told us that we cant make it crappy or she will fail us. i dont know what material i should use to form my mask, its not like a full faced mask, its a mask for a... ball.

HELP ME.

what do i make it out of.

:) thanksss.Help me design a freaking mask?
Hey Emily, maybe I can help. Get some poster board to be the foundation of the mask, but first draw the pattern you want on paper. You can look up masquerade ball (mask) on line. This will give you an idea as how to draw one when you have got the design trace it on the poster board then cut it out. It might take a couple of times to get it right but you can do it. use clear glue maybe super glue. Use colored sequins for the background. use beautiful feathers on it,just experiment with things you might have in your jewelry box discarded..Just take your time and make it beautiful. I hope you get an a+.Help me design a freaking mask?
Do an image search for Italian Eye Mask and you might get some neat ideas. Also look into Mardi Gras mask. Because Halloween is approaching you should be able to find a half face mask or eye mask to decorate. Use feathers, acrylic paint, glitter. If it doesn't have to go onto your head, attach a chopstick or similar to one side. It is the type mask used at masquerades many years ago.
You could cut an eye mask shape out of thickish card and really go wild decoorating it with feathers and sequins...or make one out of papier mache....link below fr a simple one
I really want to help you. First, get a paper plate. Cut out big circles where your eyes go. Draw a cat's face, make the mask like it's supposed to be a ball, etc. Get a rubber thing or a huge rubber band and cut it so you can tape both ends to the mask to put it around your head. Hope your teacher doesn't see you had help!!

xoxo,

Tori
go to a craft or costume shop and get one of those little masquerade/martigra(sp?) masks. from there, be creative with feathers, beads, sequins, anything you can find really.
