Can you use body lotion/cream as a hair mask?

i was wondering this because i have sure dry hair and i swim everyday. so i was wondering if i could use baby oil and body lotion a a mask instead of a really expensive hair mask?Can you use body lotion/cream as a hair mask?

Well, i've heard that it's bad to put baby oil in your hair,anyway..... why dont you try to buy a special shampoo for your hair, i really like the Treseemee one for Dry hair, bc it gives it a moisturizing feeling, plus it works,,,,,,,Well hope i helped, and good luck with the hair.......(0_0)
You can rub a bit of lotion into it or even just a bit of your regular conditioner, but like a quarter sized blob at the most work it through your hair and style as normal, a mask of lotion would make your hair waaaayyy to oily, same about baby oil, even i small amount of baby oil it gonna make it nasty oily..
if you really really have to i say only use baby oil :D even though baby oil is going to make the pool water all greasy at the top lol.
