Pentheus needs to have red, to evoke the idea that he's going to be decapitated. Kadmos is royal, so some purples? Dionysos is the god of wine and is merry, so gold and crimson or purples again. Agave kills her son; blues for mourning?
Go to a local university library and find a movie version of the Bacchae, that might help.
